The AWU stands up for its members' rights every day - whether it be in the workplace or in the wider world.

We are keen for our members to understand their rights, and to join our campaigns to enforce those rights.

National Employment Standard

Construction Industry Site Allowances

 Effective from 1 October 2009, Site Allowances for the Construction Industry increased by 2.8%. Click here to view all the Allowances.

 We have developed the following Guideline as a starting point as to the matters that should be incorporated in a site-specific drug and alcohol policy.

Political

Victorian Manufacturing Policy

The AWU proposed improvements to Government procurement policy and industry assistance in its submission to the Victorian Parliament's Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee Inquiry into Manufacturing.

 Workers' Compensation Review

The AWU argued for Victoria's Workers' Compensation laws to be made fairer for injured workers in this submission to the Review which was chaired by David Hanks QC.
