The Fair Work Act 2009 became effective from 1 July 2009 when it
replaced the WorkChoices Legislation.
The Act fullfills some of the Rudd Labor Governments’s 2007 election
promises for a fairer industrial relations system for all workers.
While the Act’s changes are promising, we believe there is still a way
to go to make the power balance in Australian workplaces more even.
We won’t give up the fight until all your rights are enacted into law.
